Israel

If I forget you, o Jerusalem, may my right hand forget her skill. Psalm 137:5

My two Kiwi roommates were the best. We spent the whole two weeks together, first ushering at the Feast of Tabernacles, later exploring Israel.

The Wailing Wall was very impressive. All day and all night you will find people who express their worries and fears through prayer to God. It made a deep impact on me praying by that wall where so many believing Jews bring their prayers either by whispering them there or putting little notes into the cracks of that old wall.

Tens of thousands of Jews and Christians walked side by side in the annual Feast of Tabernacles Jerusalem March, where the International Christian Embassy in Jersualem was also represented, declaring their love and support for the people in Zion.

We got up early that day and were amazed by the calmness of the lake. Watching the sunrise on the Sea of Galilee was very beautiful.

Every year the Dead Sea evaporates a little more and becomes saltier. Floating in this sea was a very new and exciting experience for me. A sea in the middle of the desert!
The Dead Sea is in the run for becoming one of the "New 7 Wonders of Nature". You can vote here www.new7wonders.com
