Day Five: Exploring Cusco

Today we took most of the day to walk through downtown Cusco and explore it like tourists.

Narrow streets that remind me of Europe and German VW busses in dark alleys

Souvernir shops with religious pictures

A stone wall built by the Incas

View over the rooftops

Antonella and I wandering the streets of Cusco

Monument for the founders of Cusco

The beautiful center of Cusco

This place is called Qoricancha. Here they built a Christian church on top of a sacred Incan place where they used to worship the sun as their god.

I typed out a whole beautiful comment then I tried to publish and it deleted it. 😡.
Well it was so nice to talk to you yesterday and to see Antonella! What fun you’re having. I’m so excited for you and pray that you will get to continue your Camino. Miss you deeply. My dog is snoring as I type this. Haha she would love you. I miss travelling. That ache never goes away. And miss you. Snow warning outside 🙄 Canada! Hahah
but God is good. Love you
