Day Eight: Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac - Saint-Côme-d'Olt

This is Fabrice. We met Fabrice a few days ago already because we spent the night at the same gîte. After we parted ways the next morning we didn't see him and his friend he was walking the camino with for a few days. But as chance would have it we were at the same gîte last night and enjoyed a nice evening together where his friend played the ukulele and we all sang together. Even the hosts came out to join us for a couple songs. In the picture you see him making coffee for us today while enjoying the scenery for a short break.

I have seen so many cows in the last few days. I guess that's where all the marvelous cheese comes from that the French know so much about. We have tried lots of different types already always trying to get regional cheeses. Can you spot the calves in the background?

Yesterday it was snowing, today there is spring in the air. As you can see in the pictures above when the sun shines on the fields it's luscious green everywhere and the buds are opening up and are in full bloom already.

This might have been the highlight of the day, to be honest with you. We went to a Pâtisserie (bakery) once we got to the town where we will be spending the night and bought some very yummy goodies. They were most delicious and very recommendable! France at its best.
