This morning was quite chilled. We started walking in beautiful sunshine and stunning scenery.
We had just started walking this road when a man walking toward us starting talking to us in French. After exchanging a few pleasantries this man (his name is Alain) decided to walk with us for about 10 minutes and to tell us about the markings on the way (which are excellent - we hardly needed googlemaps for the way!) as well as a bit of history of this old way. His German was quite astounding, too.

Just now we arrived in Saint-Privat-d'Allier and are exhausted from this first day of walking about 20 km.
