Day Two: Saint-Privat-d'Allier - Saugues

Today was a challenging day. Not only did we have to walk steep ways up a mountain and then down again. We also decided to go an unofficial way. What we hadn't realized is that there are signs for the Chemin de St. Jaques and signs for a local hiking trail. Both use the same colors but the Camino also uses written signs. After not having seen a written sign in a while we looked up our location on maps and realized we had been walking north most of the time instead south west... The hardest part of all this was that we had to keep walking uphill and we were more crawling than walking... Luckily a car stopped and we asked the driver if he would be willing to give us a lift to our destination. He didn't speak any English and with our funny French he agreed and even dropped us off at the supermarket. We were blessed and so happy and exhausted and hungry.

THEY ARE like a tree planted by streams of water that yields their fruit in the season, and their leaf does not wither. In all that they doe, they prosper. (Almost Ps 1:2)
