It was below freezing point last night and the windows had a thin layer of ice on them when we left Aumont-Aubrac this morning. Still, the air got warm quickly and we enjoyed the freshness of it.
Do you see the white-red-white sticker on the sign? It shows us to go left on the next possible path. Further away there is a yellow sign that says the next town and the distance of it. As long as we are following these signs we are good.
People here are very attentive when it comes to pilgrims.
Signs like these confirm we are still on the right path
It was our longest day so far (we walked about 24 km) and we are totally knackered. For the longest time we did so well and had enough energy for yet another hill. But now we are just happy to be close to a shower and a bed. Tonight we are spending the night at a pony club. Still so many hostels aren't open yet for the one obvious reason of corona and the other, that many open only in April. So we have to stay flexible and creative :)
